Professor Zhang Wenyong is Associated Director of Medical Education. He graduated from the "Cornell-Rockefeller-Sloan Kettering Cancer Center" Triinstitutional MD-PhD program with PhD thesis work conducted at Dr. David Ho's lab, focusing on improving the immunogenicity of a HIV investigational vaccine. He was a receipient of Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation Student Award. He conducted residency training in Anatomic Pathology at Cornell Presbyterian Hospital in New York and obtained molecular pathology fellowship training at Baylor College of Medicine-MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. He subsequently practiced anatomic and molecular pathology at Mt. Sinai Hospital as Associated Director of Molecular Pathology and Director of Molecular Pathology at New York Medical College. He has contributed to molecular pathology by developing a number of highly sensitive and specific molecular oncology assays. He is a scientific advisor for P4 Medicine Institute. His research area includes pathology and precision medicine for disease diagnosis, treatment and prevention.
